Women's Volleyball Sweeps Coker, 3-0 For Third-Straight Win

The Belmont Abbey women's volleyball team hit .383 and held Coker to a negative attack as the Crusaders moved to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in Conference Carolinas with an easy 3-0 win over the visiting Coker Cobras this evening. Scores were 25-10, 25-15 and 25-6. The win is the Abbey's third-straight. Coker drops to 3-12 overall and 3-2 in Conference Carolinas.

Belmont Abbey freshman Hannah Schellenberg led a torrid Crusader offense with a match high 14 kills on 27 attacks with just two errors (44), while older sister Lydia Schellenberg added 12 kills with no errors on 24 attacks. Catlin Hankins added nine kills on a .375 attack. Belmont Abbey amassed 45 kills on 94 total attacks with just nine errors. Kay Schellenberg handed out 36 assists and posted ten digs and three service aces.

The Crusader defense recorded 46 digs as Angela Jubb's ten led the way. Lydia Schellenberg posted nine and Hannah Schellenberg added eight. Hankins added two block assists.

Coker hit just -.083 as Catie Truzzolino led the Cobras with four kills. Libero Brittany Bass led all players with 16 digs.
