Belmont Abbey senior Jose Penaloza scored two goals and Conor Wells added the other as the Crusaders men's soccer team earned a 3-1 win at Brevard this afternoon in the season opener for both teams. The win snaps the Abbey's three-game season opening losing streak. The last time the Crusaders won their opening match also came at Brevard in 2008.
