Winning Streak Moves To Seven As Women's Volleyball Upends Limestone, 3-0

Belmont Abbey freshman Hannah Schellenberg led all players with 13 kills as the Crusaders women's volleyball team extended their winning streak to seven with a 3-0 sweep at Limestone this afternoon. Scores were 25-22, 25-18 and 25-21. The win ups the Abbey's record to 16-3 overall (two wins shy of tying the school record) and 8-1 in Conference Carolinas, while Limestone drops to 3-15 overall and 3-6 in Conference Carolinas.

Schellenberg was the only player to reach double figures in kills as her 13 led all players. She added seven digs as she fell short of recording her fourth-straight double double. Angela Jubb added seven kills and nine digs. Lydia Schellenberg posted just four kills but led the team with 11 digs. Julianne Pisano added seven digs. Kay Schellenberg handed out 33 assists to quarterback an Abbey offense that hit .235 for the match. Caitlin Hankins registered a pair of block solos while Jubb added three total blocks, two assisted and one solo.

Limestone hit just .077 as Erin Courtnenay led the Saints with seven kills. Three other players finished with six. Rebecca Kerrison led all players with 14 digs.
