The Belmont Abbey volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to the visting Brevard College Tornados this evening at the Wheeler Center. Set scores were 20-25, 25-22, 21-25 and 17-25. Brevard improves to 4-8, while the Abbey drops to 8-7.

Lydia Schellenberg led the Crusaders with a double double, posting a team-high 12 kills and 13 digs. She added a service ace. Stefanie Holler added nine kills, while Angela Jubb and Remick Tiller both posted eight. Jubb tied Schellenberg for the team-high with 13 digs, while Tiller added ten. Both teams recorded 64 digs on the evening. Molly Gwaltney handed out 25 assists and Kay Schellenberg posted 16 with six digs. The Crusaders compiled a .116 attack (47 kills, 30 errors on 147 total attacks).

Brevard was led by Ashlie Morrison, who posted a .429 evening on 19 kills with just four errors on 35 total attacks. Erin Rollins added ten kills. Bethany Stevenson logged 39 assists from her setter position. Libero Lindsey Rogers led all players with 22 digs and Kortney Conner added ten. The Tornados hit .190 (47 kills, 21 errors on 137 total attacks) and recorded ten team blocks, led by Rollins's four block assists.
