The Belmont Abbey volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the visiting Erskine College Flying Fleet this evening at the Wheeler Center. Set scorers were 21-25, 11-25 and 18-25. Erskine moves to 13-6 overall and 8-1 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 8-10 overall and 4-4 in Conference Carolinas.

Bria James and Angela Jubb both led the Abbey offense with eight kills apiece as the Crusaders amassed 25 on the night. James and Molly Gwaltney both led the way with ten digs apiece. Jubb tied for the match high with four block assists. Gwaltney and Jaimee O'Connell both collected a pair.

Erskine hit .386 for the match as Sandra Campbell hit .607 with 20 kills with just three errors on 28 total attacks. She added eight digs and a pair of block assists. Setter Larz Chabra handed out 43 assists. Libero Brooke Dodge led all players with 19 digs as Erskine totaled 47 on the night.
