Volleyball Wins Second-Straight, Sweeps Coker, 3-0

The Belmont Abbey volleyball team traveled to Coker College on Saturday and swept the Cobras 3-0. Set scores were 25-15, 25-18, and 25-20. The win improves the Crusaders to 17-13 overall and 9-7 in Conference Carolinas. Coker falls to 8-17 overall and 5-8 in conference play.

The Crusaders were led by Kay Schellenberg who contributed team highs in both assists with 30 and digs with 12 for the match's only double double. She added six kills and no errors on eight total attacks for a .750 kill percentage. The Abbey hit .299 as a team

Angela Jubb led the Crusaders with 11 kills. Bria James contributed seven to go along with ten digs. Stefanie Holler and Lydia Schellenberg added seven kills each with Schellenberg also recording nine digs. Holler hit .545 as she knocked down seven kills with one error on 11 total attacks. James contributed a .375 attack with seven kills with just one error on 16 total attacks.

Coker was led by Taylor Willis's eight kills as the Cobras hit just .111.
