The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 loss at tenth-ranked Coker this evening in Hartsville. The Cobras scored the only goal of the match in the 61st minute after the Crusader defense kept the Cobras at bay. The win moves Coker's record to 14-2-0 overall and 9-1-0 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 5-11-1 overall and 3-7-0 in Conference Carolinas.

After a scoreless 60 minutes, Coker's Carlos Recinos found the back of the net at the 60:30 mark when he sent a blast from 25 yards out past Louis Liberatore for the goal.

Earlier in the match, in the 32nd minute, Jack Reid had a chance to put the Crusaders ahead as his shot towards an empty net was swatted away at the last second by a Cobras defender.

Coker outshot the Abbey 14-7 and held an 8-6 edge in corner kicks. Liberatore made four saves.
