Volleyball Sweeps Pfeiffer, 3-0 Behind Holler's Strong Offensive Night

Belmont Abbey senior Stefanie Holler hit a career-best .611, knocking down 11 kills on 18 total attacks with zero errors, as the Crusaders volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep at Pfeiffer. Set scores are 25-17, 25-17 and 25-15. The Abbey, winners of four-straight, move to 12-10 overall and 7-4 in Conference Carolinas, while the Falcons slip to 7-9 overall and 4-5 in Conference Carolinas.

Holler tied for the match-high in kills along with teammate Lydia Schellenberg, as both players registered 11 kills on the night. Schellenberg fashioned a .385 attack, posting 11 kills with just one error on 26 total attacks. The Crusaders pieced together a season-best .310 attack (44 kills, 9 errors on 113 total attacks) as they hit at least .275 in each set. The .275 came in the opener, and the Abbey hit .342 in the second and .314 in the third.

Setter Molly Gwaltney handed out 32 assists and logged seven digs. Angela Jubb led all players with 17 digs and Remick Tiller added 12 as the Crusaders won that battle 56-51.

Pfeiffer's Kelly Lancellot led the Falcons with seven kills as they hit .071 for the match.
