The Belmont Abbey volleyball team was swept 3-0 at Lees-McRae this afternoon in Banner Elk. Set scores were 17-25, 14-25 and 14-25. The Lady Bobcats improve to 12-6 overall and remain perfect in Conference Carolinas play with a 7-0 mark, while the Crusaders dip to 8-8 overall and 4-3 in Conference Carolinas.

Stefanie Holler led the Abbey offense with five kills. She also finished with a block assist. Angela Jubb and Ginny Eckstine both added four kills. Kay Schellenberg handed out 12 assists and Molly Gwaltney had seven.

Defensively, Lydia Schellenberg posted a team-high 16 digs as the Abbey finished with 38.

Taylor Clendenin paced Lees-McRae with 10 kills, the only player in the match to reach double figures. Megan Mitchell logged 29 assists and seven digs.
