Belmont Abbey junior midfielder Nicole Voets scored the only goal of the match in the 61st minute to lead the Crusaders women's soccer team to 1-0 win at Brevard this afternoon. The Abbey remains unbeaten at 3-0, while the Tornados drop to 1-1.

The Crusaders outshot Brevard 15-4, including 10-2 in the final stanza as Voets gave the Abbey the only goal it would need at the 60:06 mark, scoring off of a feed from Rebecca Mateo. Mateo has had a hand in all three Abbey goals this season, scoring single goals in the first two games and assisting Voets on today's tally.

Along with the advantage in shots, the Crusaders held an 8-4 edge in corner kicks. Senior goalkeeper Anna Donaldson made one save en route to her third-consecutive shutout.

Belmont Abbey is back in action Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. with a match at USC Aiken.
