The Belmont Abbey volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Lees-McRae this evening at the Wheeler Center. Set scores were 25-15, 25-16, 24-26 and 25-19. Lees-McRae improves to 9-6 overall and 7-0 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 11-5 overall and 4-2 in Conference Carolinas.

The Abbey hit just .111 as Lydia Schellenberg led the Crusaders with 14 kills on 27 total attacks with four errors (.370). She was the only Crusader to reach double figures in kills. Kay Schellenberg handed out 26 assists and had nine digs. Angela Jubb totaled nine kills and two digs.

Defensively, the Crusaders posted 48 digs as Remick Tiller led the Abbey with ten, while Bria James finished with nine.

Lees-McRae hit .348 as Taylor Clendenin led three Lady Bobcats in kills with 17, posting those on 32 total attacks with three errors (.438). She also had nine digs. Whitney Justice added 15 kills on 32 total attacks with four errors (.344) and Megan Epperson chipped in with 11 kills. Megan Mitchell logged 51 assists and four digs. Lees-McRae finished with 59 digs as Dana Oliver led all players with 27.
