The Belmont Abbey softball team gained a split at Lees-McRae
this afternoon, dropping the opener 3-0 and rallying to win game
two 4-1. Lees-McRae is now 12-26 overall and 5-7 in Conference
Carolinas, while the Abbey moves to 18-20 overall and 10-8 in

"I'm happy that we played well in the second game and got the
win," Head Coach Ellie Hanover said. "We just did not show up in
the first game and have to do a better job of that. Hopefully we
are out of our rut and I look forward to the team getting back on
the winning track. It is crunch time now."
Magen West turned away the first 11 batters she faced before
losing the perfect game and no-hitter. She finished the game going
