Men's Soccer Wins Fourth-Straight With 2-0 Win Over Pfeiffer

The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team posted their third-straight shutout with a 2-0 win over Pfeiffer University in Conference Carolinas men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders, winners of four-in-a-row, move to 5-4-2 overall, 3-1-1 in league play while the Falcons dip to 1-5-3, 1-2-1.

Belmont Abbey held a 13-7 advantage in shots finding the back of the net in the 27th minute. After receiving a pass from Gianluca D'Agata, Stuart Kirk fired a first-time shot to the near post that slipped underneath Falcon keeper Alex Moreno's hands for the 1-0 advantage.

The Crusaders found more breathing room just before the hour in the 59th minute as Matt Dolan bended home a shot into the top right corner. Timmi Borges DaSilva assisted on Dolan's tally.

In addition to firing six more shots overall, Belmont Abbey held an 8-1 advantage in shots on goal. Net minder Louis Liberatore stopped the lone Falcon shot on cage.
