The Belmont Abbey volleyball team fell 3-0 at Conference Carolinas leader Lees-McRae this evening at Williams Gymnasium. Set scores were 14-25, 23-25 and 21-25. Lees-McRae improves to 18-7 overall and remains perfect in Conference Carolinas at 14-0, while the Abbey drops to 16-8 overall and 9-5 in Conference Carolinas.

Belmont Abbey hit just .072 (29 kills, 21 errors on 111 total attacks) as Bria James led all players with 12 kills on 25 total attacks with two errors (.400). She was the only Crusader to reach double figures. Kay Schellenberg handed out 23 assists.

Defensively the Crusaders registered 51 digs as Lydia Schellenberg and Remick Tiller both led the way with nine each. James and Kay Schellenberg added eight apiece.

Lees-McRae hit .219 (39 kills, 14 errors on 114 total attacks) as Megan Epperson posted ten kills and ten digs. Taylor Clendenin added nine with a match-high 12 digs.
