The Belmont Abbey volleyball team fell at Barton, 3-1 this evening in Wilson. The 25-27, 25-20, 25-18, 25-23 Barton victory vaulted it to 6-9 overall and 3-2 in the league. Abbey slipped to 2-8 overall and 2-3 in Conference Carolinas.

Sophomore middle hitter Stefanie Holler powered the Crusaders' attack with 12 kills and six assists. Freshman setter Kay Schellenberg dished off 31 assists.

Barton was led by junior Macon Harmon, who had 27 assists and nine digs. Junior Carly Cash had 18 assists and 14 digs and junior middle hitter Chancey Sebranek had two kills and six blocks, while junior Cassie Blackmon made 26 digs.
