The Belmont Abbey volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decsion to the
visiting Lenoir-Rhyne Bears this afternoon at the Wheeler Center.
Set scores were 25-27, 20-25, 25-19 and 25-13.
Belmont Abbey was led by Steffanie Holler, who registered a
double double with ten kills and 12 digs. Jennifer Angelich added
nine kills, whil Morgan Kirby finished with seven. Kay Schellenberg
handed out 33 assists, while Holler posted three.
Defensively, the Crusaders recorded 57 digs as Holler's 12 led
the team, while libero Julianne Pisano and Schellenberg had 11 and
ten, respectively.
Lenoir-Rhyne was led by Cheyenne Cash's 13 kills, while Kassi
Henry chipped in with 12. Meredith Lutz handed out 55 assists to go
along with six digs and a service ace. The Bears defense posted 76
digs as libero Marissa Church's match-high 27 led a trio of L-R
players in double figures, as Katelin Wensley posted 16 and Cayla
Crawley added ten.
