Four Belmont Abbey players scored goals as the Crusaders women's soccer team earned a 4-0 win over visiting Brevard College this afternoon at Alumni Field. The Crusaders, winners of six in a row and unbeaten in their last 21 matches, improves to 7-0-2, while Brevard falls to 4-7.

The Abbey dominated the match for all 90 minutes, outshooting the Tornados 21-0 and holding a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks, as it got the only goal it would need in the 23rd minute. Nicole Voets sent a pass down the center of the field to Connie Axiotis, who got behind the defense and beat goalkeeper Jordan Box for the goal.

Shortly before intermission, the Crusaders made it 2-0 on a combination from Amanda Maddock to Celene Molera. Maddock sent a pass from the right flank to the left goalpost, where Molera headed home the pass for her team-leading eighth goal of the year.

In the 67th minute, Voets found the back of the net off of a long pass from Elsie Hernandez, who sent a high ball to the center of the box where Voets fired home the winner from 14 yards out.

The Abbey capped the scoring with just 56 seconds left, as a senior assisted a freshman for her first career goal. Lauren Faerber sent a corner kick to the center of the box, where Erika Trivisonno tapped in the winner for her first career goal.
