the Crusaders men's soccer team earned a 2-0 road shutout at
Lenoir-Rhyne this evening. The Abbey improves to 5-4, while the
Bears dip to 3-2-1.
Lenoir-Rhyne outshot the Abbey 16-11, but goalkeeper Bryan
Alenky kept the Bears off the scoreboard with nine saves in the
match as freshman forward Adam Gray gave the Crusaders the only
goal they would need in the 31st minute. Momo Kanneh fed Gray, who
fired home a blast from 25 yards out into the center of the net for
his third goal of the year.
Goding added the insurance goal in the 75th minute as Andrei
Petrov fired a pass to Goding, who fired home the second Abbey goal
of the night from right in the front of the goal for his first
tally of the year.
