Four Crusaders reached double figures in kills as the Belmont Abbey volleyball team earned a 3-1 road win at Converse this afternoon. Set scores were 21-25, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-22. The Abbey, which gained a season sweep of the Valkyries with the win, improves to 4-6 overall and 3-1 in Conference Carolinas.

Sophomore middle blocker Leanne Cassandra and freshman outside hitter Bria James both led the Crusaders with 12 kills apiece, while sophomore middle blocker Emily Frohnapfel and senior outside hitter Sydney Steffen both added 10. Freshmen setters Rebekha Weber and Molly Gwaltney both posted 20 assists.

Defensively, James posted two blocks and seven digs, while Carrie Markham led the way with 12. Megan Watts finished with 11 to go along with a service ace. Weber recorded seven digs.
