The seventh-seeded Belmont Abbey volleyball team was eliminated from the 2008 Conference Carolinas Tournament with a 3-0 loss at second-seeded Anderson University this evening. Set scores were 17-25, 14-25 and 10-25. Anderson improves to 22-13, while the Abbey ends its season with a 10-20 mark.

The Abbey was led offensively by Rebekah Weber and Stefanie Holler, who both finished with five kills. Leanne Cassandra added four, while Bria James added two and Emily Frohnapfel added one. Molly Gwaltney handed out 14 assists and also had one service ace, as did Frohnapfel.

Defensively, senior Carrie Markham led the way with five digs in her final match, while James and Megan Watts both had a pair and Gwaltney had one. Weber and Cassandra led the way with two blocks apiece and Frohnapfel finished with one.
