The Belmont Abbey volleyball team swept visiting Coker College 3-0 this evening at the Wheeler Center in a Conference Carolinas matchup. Set scores were 25-13, 25-19 and 25-12. The Abbey improves to 9-16 overall and 8-9 in Conference Carolinas, while the Cobras fall to 2-23 overall and 0-16 in Conference Carolinas.

Leanne Cassandra led the Abbey offense with a blistering .579 attack, recording 12 kills with just one error on 19 total attacks. She also had three digs, two block solos and two block assists. Sydney Steffen and Jessica Bennett both finished with seven kills. Molly Gwaltney handed out 20 assists while Rebekah Weber finished with 15.

Defensively, Steffen led the way with 10 digs, while Carrie Markham had nine. Cassandra had all of the Abbey's blocks at the net.

Coker was led by Kristin Teets's nine kills. Courtney Nelson handed out 11 assists. Kelsey Carlson led the Cobras with eight digs.
