The Belmont Abbey volleyball team fell to visiting Lees-McRae 3-1 this evening in Conference Carolinas action. The Bobcats improve to 13-11 overall and 10-3 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey slips to 7-14 overall and 6-7 in Conference Carolinas.

Belmont Abbey was led by Bria James, who finished with 10 kills, while Sydney Steffen added eight. Emily Frohnapfel and Stefanie Holler both added seven. Rebekah Weber handed out 22 assists while Molly Gwaltney had 18.

James led the Abbey with 13 digs to register a double double, while Megan Watts had ten. Cassandra and Weber both finished with two block assists.

Lees-McRae was led by Megan Epperson and Katie-Marie Legg, who both tallied ten kills. Natalie Burns added nine. Lauren Dickover posted 26 assists and Trisha Reese finished with 19. Kell Bogdan led the Bobcats with 20 digs, and Epperson finished with 11 to post a double double.
