The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team received goals from Max Pembleton and Logan Rhea as the Crusaders extended their winning streak and shutout streak to two with a 2-0 win at Barton this evening. The Abbey, winners of three of its last four, all by shutout, improve to 8-6 overall and 3-3 in Conference Carolinas, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-11 overall and 0-7 in Conference Carolinas.

Pembleton put the Abbey ahead 1-0 with a goal in the first half, his fourth of the season, and Rhea added an insurance goal in the second half, also his fourth of the year.

Six of the Abbey's eight wins have been shutouts, and the program is now five wins away from 500 in its history.
