Men's Basketball Drops 82-66 Decision At Queens

The Belmont Abbey men's basketball team got a career-high 25 points from freshman guard Richard Barbee, but the Crusaders fell 82-66 at Queens University of Charlotte this evening.

The Abbey shot 30.6 percent (27-72) from the floor as Barbee finished the game with a game-high 25 points on 8-16 shooting from the floor and a perfect 9-9 effort from the free throw line. He added three rebounds and a steal in 29 minutes.

Junior guard Jonathan Jackson and senior forward Ric Marczenko both added 11 points, as Marczenko narrowly missed a double double with nine rebounds, five on the offensive glass.

The Crusaders are back in action Monday night when they host St. Andrews Presbyterian at 7:30 p.m.
