The Belmont Abbey volleyball team fell 3-0 at Lees-McRae this
evening. Game scores were 12-30, 30-32 and 22-30. The Lady Bobcats
improve to 11-8 overall and 7-1 in Conference Carolinas, while the
Abbey falls to 3-15 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
Freshman Emily Frohapfel led the Abbey with 12 kills, while
Jessica Bennett added six and Ashleigh Oxtoby and Jennifer Angelich
finished with four. Setter Allison Smith had three to go along with
22 assists.
Defensively, Frohapfel led the way with five block assists,
while Angelich and Smth both finished with a pair. Holly Kimmel led
the Crusaders with seven digs, while Monica Halligan tallied six
and Carrie Markham had five.
