Women's Soccer Routs Coker, 7-0

Belmont Abbey freshman forward Lindsay Palm recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals, while junior forward LaKesha Bell added a pair and Erin Kolb and Celene Molera both had one each as the Crusaders posted its seventh win in its last eight matches with a 7-0 win at Coker this evening. The Abbey improves to 8-4-0 overall and remains unbeaten in conference play at 4-0-0, while the Cobras fall to 3-6-0 overall and 1-5-0 in conference play.

Palm opened the scoring in the sixth minute on a through pass from Molera. Two minutes later, Molera extended the lead to 2-0 when she fired home a loose ball from four yards out. Less than four minutes later, Palm scored her second goal of the night on a shot into the side netting. Kolb finished off the scoring in the first half with her team leading seventh goal of the year.

In the 68th minute Bell scored the first of her two goals to extend the Crusader lead to 5-0. Palm then capped off a great night with her third goal of the night earning a hat trick. Bell would add another to close the scoring as the Abbey won, 7-0.
