The eighth-seeded Belmont Abbey volleyball team was eliminated from the 2007 Conference Carolinas Tournament in the quarterfinal round with a 3-0 loss at top-seeded Lees-McRae this evening. Game scores were 28-30, 20-30 and 24-30. Lees-McRae improves to 24-11, while the Abbey ends its season with a record of 10-24.

The Abbey was led offensively by Sydney Steffen, who finished with 10 kills. Ashleigh Oxtoby added eight and Emily Frohnapfel finished with four. Steffen added three service aces, while Holly Kimmel, Monica Halligan and Taylor Stern all finished with one. Allison Smith handed out 22 assists.

Halligan led the defense with 15 digs, while Smith added nine, Carrie Markham registered four and Kimmel added three. Frohnapfel led the way with five block assists, while Steffen, Oxtoby, Smith and Leanne Cassandra all finished with a pair.
