ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Max Newton closed out the first tournament of the fall season tied for 19th overall at the Jay Jennison Cup, hosted by Flagler at the World Golf Village's Slammer and Squire course. Newton played Tuesday's final round in one-under 71 after turning in rounds of 69 and 72 on Monday (212 overall).

Belmont Abbey's top team returns to action at the Currahee Collegiate Oct. 5-6. The reserve team competes at the King University Invitational next week.
