GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Belmont Abbey's Elizabeth Young has been named Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league office announced today. The award is the first of year for both Young and the team.

A junior from Frederick, Md., Young finished 16th overall at the Converse Kick-off on Saturday, running the 6K course in 23:02.90. Among Division II runners, she placed eighth.
