SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Michael Bullock ran a personal best for an 8K race Saturday, leading Belmont Abbey to a 15th-place finish at the Converse Kick-off. The race, held at Milligan Park served as a preview of both the Conference Carolinas Championship and NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.
Bullock covered the course in 25:43.8 to place 28th overall. Three other Crusaders earned top 100 finishes --
Martin O'Rourke (78th/26:47.0),
Jack Walsh (86th/27:03.3) and
John Gaston (97th/ 27:27.2).
The Abbey returns to action on Friday, Oct. 9 at the Royals Challenge. The meet will be held at McAlpine Park in Charlotte.
