INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Rita Fedewa overcame a 1-0 finals deficit and an overnight rain delay Friday morning to win the Women's Sprint title at the USA Cycling National Collegiate Track Championship. The win marks the third national title of her Belmont Abbey career, after winning the 500m Track Time Trial and BMX Omnium during the 2025-26 season.
In the best-of-three final Thursday night, the Fort Collins, Colo., native dropped the first race before taking the second to force the winner-take-all battle. However, a rainstorm pushed the race to Friday morning before the day's regularly scheduled action.
Fedewa bested Ella Sabo of Colorado Mesa by .273 seconds over the 200m race for the victory.
