GREENVILLE, S.C. — Belmont Abbey golfer Max Newton was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference team as the full team was released Thursday by the league office.

Newton was named to the team for the second straight year after putting up a strong season in his sophomore year for the Crusaders.

He finished with a 73.3 scoring average and had three Top 10 finishes on the season, including a third-place finish at the Bob Dibble Memorial back in October. He also finished tied for 28^th in the Conference Carolinas Championship earlier this week.
