SNOW HILL, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team closed out the season with an even-par final round as the Crusaders concluded play at the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship at Cutter Creek Golf Club.
The Crusaders shot a final round of 288 to finish in eighth place in the team competition.
Kellen Adickes,
Max Newton and
Nick Norman all finished with 1-under rounds of 71 for the Abbey while
Eduardo Arango shot 75 and
Dylan Reiser shot 79.
Adickes was the top finisher for the Crusaders, finishing in a tie for 11th place.
Emmanuel won the team title and the automatic qualifier for the South/Southeast Regional set for May 7-9 at Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta, Georgia.
Mount Olive's Shawn Benson won the individual title with a 4-under par total of 212, a shot ahead of Barton's Winston Knobloch.
