SNOW HILL, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team moved up three spots on the leaderboard following the second round of the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship Monday at Cutter Creek Golf Club.
 
The Crusaders shot a second-round total of 301 and moved up to eighth place in the team competition. Kellen Adickes, Max Newton and Nick Norman all finished with round of 75 for the Abbey while Dylan Reiser and Eduardo Arango shot 76.
 
After a close first day, Emmanuel took over the tournament lead with a 2-under par total of 286 Monday. Gabriel Hull of the Lions shot a 5-under to sit at 3-under par individually for the tournament.
