OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team put together a strong day on the course and rallied to capture the team and individual titles Tuesday at the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational Tuesday at Panther's Run Golf Links on the Ocean Ridge Plantation.
The Crusaders improved their team score by 13 strokes to finish with a 3-over par team total of 291 to win by nine shots over the two teams from Virginia Wesleyan.
Kellen Adickes won the individual title after closing his final round with a 1-under par 71 and won by one shot over Virginia Wesleyan's Brady King.
Nick Norman also shot 71 and was tied for third and two shots back.
Teagan Mauro and
Dominic Matteoni rounded out the team scores with rounds of 74 and 75, respectively.
