OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team returned to the course to compete in the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational Monday at the Lion's Paw Course at the Ocean Ridge Plantation.

The Crusaders sit in fourth place after the first 18 holes of play with an opening round total of 304, just six shots back of leader Bridgewater (298).

Kellen Adickes led the way for the Abbey with a two-over par of 74 while Nick Norman shot 76 to lead the team. Jack Crawford and Dominic Matteoni rounded out the team scores with 77s. All four Crusaders are in the Top 15 of the individual standings.

Bridgewater's Brandon Washburn leads the individual standings with a round of 3-under par 69.
