MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's wrestling team put together a strong showing at the Conference Carolinas Developmental Wrestling Championship Monday at Kornegay Arena.

The Crusaders had a representative at the podium in eight out of the 10 weight classes, including three who won their respective weight classes.

Finn Buchanan (141 pounds), Luca Giagunto (149) and Carter Huston (165) all won their respective weight classes. Buchanan earned a pin over Mount Olive's Logan Tortual while Giagunto won by tech fall over Newberry's Antonio Amos. Huston also earned a pin over Coker's Mason Green.

Fernando Teniente (133) was a runner-up. Michael Dibiase (125), Ryan Rector (157), Palmer Smith (184) and Derick Mirts (285) all finished third.
