PEMBROKE, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey wrestling team made its second straight appearance in the Conference Carolinas Wrestling Championship Sunday at UNC Pembroke's Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court.
The Crusaders saw its championship run end in the semifinals as Belmont Abbey fell 43-3 to the No. 1 West seed Lander Bearcats.
Belmont Abbey's lone win in the match came at 141 pounds as
Luke Kunath defeated Elijah Lusk by decision with a score of 10-3.
The Abbey finishes its match schedule with an 8-6 overall record.
