COMMERCE, Ga. — Lilianna Carcel and Ella Wiklander got off to a good start for the Belmont Abbey women's golf team as the Crusaders opened the 2025-26 season at the Golden Mane Classic Monday at Double Oaks Golf Club.

Wiklander and Carcel both finished with the same two-round scores of 153 (+11) and are tied for sixth individually to lead the Abbey. Wiklander had rounds of 77 and 75 while Carcel shot 78 and a team-best 74 in the second round.

Katie Cullen is just outside the Top 10 individually after rounds of 78 and 77.

As a team, the Crusaders are third after a two-round total of 622 (314-308) and is nine shots back of USC Beaufort (305-308—613) while host Emmanuel leads with a two-round total of 605.
