BRISTOL, Tenn. — Ella Wiklander set the pace for the Belmont Abbey women's golf team as the Crusaders opened play at the King University Invitational Monday at the Golf Club of Bristol.
Wiklander finished with a 4-over par round of 75, which is tied for fifth with North Greenville's Kate Matthews.
Katie Cullen had the other round in the 70s Monday with a 79 while
Lilianna Carcel and
Bethany Welch both shot 80. The Crusaders are fifth as a team just four shots behind Converse (310) and five from North Greenville (309).
West Chester leads the team standings with a team score of 300 with Hanna Lignell leading the pace with an even-par round of 71.
