Carlino, Miller Score Three Times Each in Championship Game

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -- Seven different players scored goals -- led by Olivia Carlino and Katelyn Miller with three each -- but a decisive fourth-quarter led second-seeded Mount Olive to an 18-14 win over No. 1 seed Belmont Abbey in the championship game of the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Tournament.

The teams had scored equal number of goals in the first three periods -- four, three and four -- before the Trojans posted a 7-3 advantage over the final 15 minutes.

Belmont Abbey closes its 2025 campaign with a share of the conference regular-season title and a 9-9 overall record.

  • Grace Ridge and Abbey McCarthy rounded out the scoring with one tally each.
  • Greenspan dished out two assists for four points, while Carlino matched that total with one helper.
  • Kacey Kubarewicz grabbed four ground balls with Summer Eddinger adding four. Caitlyn Marone caused three turnovers, while Cassidy was credited with seven draw controls.
  • Eddinger made nine saves in goal.
  • Mount Olive outshot The Abbey 36-28 overall and 27-20 on goal. The Trojans held slim margins in ground balls (23-21) and draw controls (19-17).
