BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team closed out its regular season with a 6-1 win over Emmanuel Wednesday afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.
The Crusaders earned the win thanks to a clean sweep in singles play after the Lions earned the doubles point.

Hanley Riner,
Rebekka Collyer and
Alexis Burkhalter earned wins in straight sets while the other matches were decided by retirement and default. With Wednesday's results, Belmont Abbey closes the regular season at 14-17 overall and 7-3 in Conference Carolinas play. Emmanuel is 2-15 overall, 0-8 in the league.
