Crusaders Finish Tied for Third at Conference Tournament, Reiser Earns All-Tournament Honors

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team saved its best round for last as the Crusaders closed out the 2025 Conference Carolinas Tournament with a final round of even par 288 Tuesday at Carolina Country Club.
 
Mariano Estebanez Rincon and Will Muldoon led the way for the Crusaders with final rounds of 1-under par 71 that included birdies on the Par 5 18th hole to close the tournament. Both golfers earned Top 15 finishes with a tie for 11th and 13th, respectively.
 
Dylan Reiser shot even par 72 to finish In a tie for seventh as well as All-Tournament team honors. Eduardo Arango and Max Newton rounded out the Abbey lineup with rounds of 74 and 75, respectively.
 
As a team, Belmont Abbey finished tied for third with Shorter as the team improved its positioning each day of the tournament.
 
Barton won the team title with a three-round score of 875 and earned the automatic bid into the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship. The South/Southeast Regional will be hosted at Howey-In-The-Hills Golf Course at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida on May 8-10.
 
Mount Olive's Oscar Lonnqvist won individual medalist honors with a 3-under par total of 213.
