SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team moved up one spot to fourth place as the Crusaders continued play in the second round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament Monday at Carolina Country Club.
Belmont Abbey matched its opening round total of 302 Monday that included three Crusaders shooting identical rounds of 3-over par 75.
Dylan Reiser,
Mariano Estebanez Rincon and
Will Muldoon were the three from the Abbey to reach that mark while
Eduardo Arango and
Max Newton rounded out the team score with rounds off 77 and 80, respectively.
Reiser closed his round strong thanks to an eagle 3 on the Par 5 18th hole and is currently the top Belmont Abbey golfer in a tie for 11th. Rincon is also in the Top 20 in a tie for 16th individually.
Barton leads the tournament with a two-round total of 588 while Mount Olive's Oscar Lonnqvist leads the individual standings with a three-under par total of 141.
