SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team sits in fifth place after the opening round of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Tournament played Sunday afternoon at Carolina Country Club.

The Crusaders were led by Dylan Reiser, who shot an opening round of 2-over par 74 after going 2-under over the final five holes followed by a 75 from Max Newton and 76 from Mariano Estebanez Rincon.

Will Muldoon and Eduardo Arango rounded out the Crusader lineup with rounds of 77 and 80, respectively.

Barton and Emmanuel are tied for the team lead with rounds of 290 while North Greenville's Eli Kinlaw and Tyler Kipp both shot 2-under par 70 to lead the individual standings.
