GREENVILLE, S.C. — Belmont Abbey sophomore Mariano Estebanez Rincon was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Golfer of the Week Wednesday by the league office.

Estebanez Rincon won the Bob Dibble Memorial by two strokes, shooting 10-under 206. He opened with a round of three-under 69 before carding a round of four-under 68 in the second round. The sophomore closed the tournament with a round of three-under 69. He finished the final round with a pair of birdies on the 15th and 16th holes as part of a four-shot swing over the final two holes.

The Crusaders won the team title with Rincon playing a key role in the victory.

Belmont Abbey closes the fall season next Monday and Tuesday at the Patriot Fall Classic in Ninety Six, South Carolina.
