FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. --
Bailey Presley had three hits, including solo home run in the opener, but Belmont Abbey dropped a Conference Carolinas softball doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Emmanuel. The Lions took the first game 9-3 and the second 7-1.
Wih the results, the Crusaders fall to 21-16 overall and close out the conference season 13-11. Emmanuel sits at 29-22, 15-9.

- Presley posted a second multi-hit game with a pair of singles. She also scored The Abbey's only run.
- Farmer extended her hitting streak to 13 games, while Phillips added another singles as a pinch hitter.
- Hallie Mele and McKenna Meadors collected the other two hits. Meadors' double was the only extra-base hit in the contest.
- Meadors (6-7) started and gave up 10 hits and two walked in 3.1 innings. Goldey allowed just one baserunner in 2.2 innings for relief.
UP NEXT
- Belmont Abbey closes out the regular season with a doubleheader at Tusculum on Monday.
- The contests were previously rained out twice, March 22 and April 12.
