MURFREESBORO, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team won its second straight Conference Carolinas match with a 7-0 victory over Chowan Friday afternoon at the Rose Family Tennis Complex.
The Crusaders took the doubles point after winning two matches, one by default. In isngles matches played, the Abbey won all five, including one by retirement.
Christian Winstead won in both singles and doubles play as did
Nicholas Cary.
Belmont Abbey improves to 18-18 overall, 3-2 in Conference Carolinas play. Chowan is now 0-10, 0-5 in the league.
The Abbey continues its weekend road trip with a contest at Barton beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.
