BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team got off to a good start in Conference Carolinas play Wednesday as the Crusaders earned a 7-0 victory over King Wednesday afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.
The Crusaders won all six matches played against the Tornado, which included wins in both singles and doubles play from
Hanley Riner,
Frankee Hendricks and
Alexis Burkhalter.
Belmont Abbey is now 8-8 overall, 1-0 in Conference Carolinas play. King is 0-8, 0-1 in the league.
The Abbey continues its busy week with a split-squad afternoon. The Crusaders host Lander at 3:15 p.m. at the Reidy Tennis Center while another group will face Johnson C. Smith at 4 p.m. in Charlotte.
