BELMONT, N.C. — Hanley Riner and
Mackenzie McCarthy both won a pair of matches as the Belmont Abbey women's tennis team continued a busy week of matches against Fairmont State Thursday afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.
The duo had a strong afternoon with a doubles victory but Fairmont State was able to earn a close 4-3 victory over the Crusaders.
Riner and McCarthy won in No. 2 and No. 5 singles, respectively, while
Rebekka Collyer won in No. 6 singles for The Abbey.
With Thursday's results, Belmont Abbey is now 7-5 on the season while Fairmont State is now 3-5.

- The Crusaders will head on the road to Chattanooga, Tennessee as part of the Scenic City Spring Break Showcase.
- Belmont Abbey will face Tennessee Wesleyan at 10 a.m. Friday followed by a match against host North Georgia at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
